Adam Dilsaver, among City tournament winners taking both singles and All Events
Simon and King win doubles; Lane and Hiler take women’s doubles crown, Melendrez
wins singles and Wammes takes women’s all-events.
Open Division: Adam Dilsaver’s 800 series propelled him to the singles win and the All Events Crown in
the Open Division of the annual City Tournament. He had games of 278 and 279 in the series and added 657 in doubles and 646 in singles for a 2157 handicap total to claim the 9-game all-events victory.
In singles, Brian Close was second at 789; followed by Terry Leak, 758; Kris Kolk, 749; Kyle Waynick,
747; Bill Schumacher, 745; Zach Steinman, 731; and Mark Gruelick, 730.
Brad Simon bowled an 818 in doubles to propel him and Shad King to 1445 total in doubles to win that
event. Kurt Wood and Kyle Waynick were second at 1421; followed by Bill Schumacher and Doug
Trumbull, at 1417; Jay Samelak and Dave Walter, 1413 and Paul Overhulse and Marcos Zamudio in fifth at 1410.
Dilsaver added 657 in doubles and 646 in singles for his All Events win at 2157. Dave Koons was second at 2143; followed by Waynick at 2131; Brian Dimick, 2112; Wood, 2093; and
Pancha Melendrez did well in the open all-events at 2087.
Ladies division: Abby Lane and Tresa Hiler combined for an 1110 actual total and 1422 to claim the
doubles title. Tricia Green and Cheyenne Kolczyinski had 1365 for second. Denise Miller teamed with
Melendrez for 1347 and Anita Dilsaver and her mother, Yogi Wammes shot 1324.
Melendrez took the singles title with her games of 258 and 256 in her 735, set for 766 with handicap to
win that honor. MaryAnn Dimick was second with her 667 for 722 with handicap. Cheyenne Kolczynski was third with her 636 for 720; Mary Crumley was fourth at 718 and Denise Miller finished fifth at 713.
Yogi Wammes had a 610 in singles, 653 in doubles and 567 in team for her 1830 actual and 2028 to
claim the allevents crown for the women; Crumley was second at 2000; Kolczysinki totaled 1993 and
Lane had 1990 to round out the cashers.
Surviving the Game:
The latest results showed those eliminated in the Surviving the Game event in Week 9. They were Lucas Jenne, American League at 60 pins under average; Nathan Lucas, Eagles, 51; and Betty Winnick, Ladies Major, 49.
