Thanksgiving No-Tap

Dilsaver carried her hot hand in the city tournament into the Thanksgiving No-Tap Tournament, winning that event as well. No-Tap, for those not familiar, awards bowlers a strike by knocking down nine pins on the first ball. Thus higher scores are more eaisily recorded. The champion was one of only two bowlers to record a no-tap 300 in the event, but one was not enough for her. She opened with a 300 and then following a 223 game, she closed with her second 300. She thus had an 823 actual series and 883 with handicap to win the $150 first place prize money.

Second in the tournament was Josh Crawford who bowled the only other 300 as his came in the second game He opened with a 261 game and finished with a 239 for an 800 series on the nose and 851 with handicap for the second place money of $90.

Third place went to Dilsaver’s mother, Yogi Wammes at 835. She had a 278 high game and 744 series. Todd Latta finished fourth at 835. Other Cashers were Dennis St. Peter, 815; Craig Burghardt, 778; Chris Wells 772; Mallory Fritz, 769 and Larry Jackson, 766. Burghardt came witin one pin of a 300 with a 298 game. (Reember if he had gotten nine on the final ball that would have given him a final strike and the 300. Dave Dohanos shot a 290 game.
