On Sunday Al-Mar Lanes will offer bowlers free entry to try the latest releases from 900 Global at the bowling center at 1010 N. Main Street. The product test will feature some of top performing bowling balls in the 900 Global line from 3 to 5:30 p.m. For more information contact proprietor Bill Wammes at 419-352-4637.

Bucks versus Wolverines

Whether you a fan of the Scarlet and Gram or the Go Blue, the public is invited to come to Al-Mar on Saturday at noon to watch "The Game" also called the Border Battle. Al-Mar will serve hot dogs and chili at halftime. There will also be raffles to benefit the Bowling Green Bobcat bowling teams. There will be drink specials and other events including a best dressed contest. So wear your favorite colors and celebrate the rivalry in a friendly environment.

The annual Dean Moosman Memorial Team Tournament presented by the Northwest Ohio Bowling Proprietor's Association will held at Al-Mar on Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. There is a $250 team entry fee with $1,000 guaranteed first place prize. Get more details at Al-Mar.

City Tournament update:

The standings of the annual team event of the City Tournament as of Monday morning shows ASD Remodeling Inc. in first place of the Open Division at 3,403. Brian Close led the team with games of 238, 236 and 234 for a 708 series. Mondo Calderon was close behind with his 266 and 231 for 698, Adam Dilsaver had 235 and 114 for 640; Doug Trumbull had a 231 for 636; and Dave Koons completed the team with a 216 and 582,

Main and Sons Plumbing rolled into second place at 3,386. Jay Haas led the plumbers with his 289 and 703; while Jordan Franks added a 248 and 633.

Early leaders BG Motors dropped to third at 3,371; followed by Kominek Aluminum. 3,331 and American Family Insurance 3,328, to round out the top five. Low in the money as of Monday morning was 3,258.

There were no more teams in the Ladies division since our last report. The tournament ends Thanksgiving Eve.

Surviving the Game:

Week 6 results showed those eliminated were Chuck Close in the American League, at 70 pins under average and Jessica Hunt and Becky Schulze, both of the Ladies Major at 56 and 46 under, respectively.

League highlights through Nov. 18.

Because several leagues took the week off to bowl in the city tournament during their normal league session, there are fewer league reports this week.
