A look at BG High School bowers

As the Bowling Green Bobcat bowlers progress through their 2018-19 season let’s take a look at the teams. 

Ladies first. The girls are currently in second place in the Northern Lakes League with a 6-2 record,  two games behind the league leading Napoleon Wildcats who are undefeated at 7-0.

Junior Kelly Miller of the Bobcats leads the league in average at 187.27. One Napoleon girl is averaging

higher but only has nine games in.

Joining Miller on the Bobcat team are Linda Alfaro, a freshman with a 163 average; Jenna Kirian, a

sophomore averaging 162; senior Ali Fahy at 155 and Tyler Pacheco a Freshman averaging 142.   Other team members who come off the bench include three more freshmen: Dream Clark-Quaintance Zenaida Bautista and Giana Hemings.

For the boys they currently have a 4-5 record in fourth place behind Perrysburg who leads at 7-2. Junior James Alfaro leads the team with a 186 average; followed by Junior Dillon Swalls at 179;

sophomore Colin Fahy with 169; Clayton Genson, also a sophomore at 167; Brandon Knell, a jurnior at

163; and sophomore Matt Crites at 158.

Surviving the Game:

The latest results showed those eliminated in the Surviving the Game event in Week 12. They were Ron

Steinman, American League with 56 pins uncer average; Pancha Melendrez, Eagles, -45 and Vicki

Schumacher, also American, also at -45.

Reminders;

Footbowl Championship Sunday at 10 a.m. Trio teams At last report there were only two spots open

for teams.

Spring Madness begins Monday in the leagues.
