The major league baseball playoffs are in full swing, so therefore Al-Mar Lanes eighth annual World Series of “Basebowl” Championship is also coming

soon.

This year’s event will be Sunday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m.

 

The three person teams will compete with their bowling scores to score runs for their teams based on winning against the other teams scores.   Just like in baseball, most runs wins in Basebowl as well.

This is a handicap event, allowing lower average bowlers a better chance of winning.

Entry fee is $30 per bowler or $90 per team.

 

Reminders

Two popular long-term promotions are returning soon. The leauge within a league Fantasy Doubles will begin Oct. 1. In this event two bowlers from any team on any league pair off and compete using their regular league scores in a special fantasy league against other duos. This costs $5 per bowler per week.

The Surviving the game gets off and running on Oct. 8. In this elimination contest, the bowlers enter once and try to bowl as well as they can each week as compared to their average. The bowlers who are most under average each week are eliminated for the season. Usually the last 25 survivors of the season get a minimum of their $5 entry fee back, with the final five earning significantly more.
